Refund Policy
This policy explains how refunds work for Culinari premium subscriptions. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, whose section 5 covers subscriptions and billing more generally.
1. Who processes payments and refunds
Paid plans are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. This means Paddle is the seller on the transaction, and refunds are issued by Paddle back to your original payment method. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to the transaction. You can request a refund from us at [email protected], or directly from Paddle using the link on the receipt they email you; we forward eligible requests to Paddle on your behalf.
2. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
As a consumer buying at a distance within the EU, you generally have 14 days from the day the contract is concluded to withdraw from your purchase and receive a full refund, without giving any reason. This right comes from EU consumer law and, in Portugal, from Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014.
3. Immediate access and the digital-service exception
Culinari is a digital service that you can use immediately after subscribing. When you subscribe and begin using premium features straight away, you expressly ask us to start providing the service during the 14-day withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. Where the service has only been partly provided when you withdraw, any refund may be reduced in proportion to what you have already used. This exception is provided for by EU consumer law and by Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014.
4. Subscriptions, renewals and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and you keep premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling stops future renewals; it is not in itself a refund request. After a renewal has been charged we do not, as a general rule, refund the unused part of that period, except where the law requires it or where we choose to do so.
5. Charged in error, or the service was not as described
If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or the service was materially not as described, contact us and we will put it right. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in this policy.
6. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your Culinari account, and include the Paddle transaction or receipt reference if you have it. We aim to respond within a few working days. Paddle also emails you a receipt for every payment, which carries a self-service link for managing the transaction.
7. Who you are buying from
Culinari is operated by IV4, Rua da Fé 24, 1675-Pontinha, Lisboa, Portugal, registered under number 509057381. Payments are collected by Paddle as merchant of record, as described in section 1.
